Dear Fellow IDIS Members:
There are two kinds of ‘disabled’ persons: Those who dwell on what they have lost and those who concentrate on what they have left. -Thomas Szaz (Author of The Myth of Mental Illness)
With Disability Insurance Awareness Month (DIAM) coming to an end, I hope that you have had a successful month and have achieved your goals of bringing awareness to your clients and helping them to take action in this most critical protection. You have shared several success stories and examples of working with fellow members to make things happen. These are the things that make me glad to be a part of IDIS with you.
We are proud to announce that Early Bird Registration for our Conference in October is now open on our internationaldisociety.com website. Don Schamay and his committee have done an excellent job in “Taking Care of Business” to bring us a superb lineup of speakers, break out sessions, and the return of JeoparDI in St. Louis. Early Registration ends July 1st, so be sure to get your registration done soon. You can also make your reservations for the Marriott from our block of rooms that get you discounted pricing. I am looking forward to seeing all of you there.
One of our featured speakers this year is someone that I have had the pleasure of working with personally. Dierdre Van Nest has worked with many Disability Insurance producers, including myself, to increase their success in sharing the need for protecting their income and getting more clients to take action. She has a powerful message to share with us as one that has personally seen how it saved her family at an early age.
Your Board of Directors is always available as a resource to you. Please let us know how we can help support your efforts in making the International DI Society a greater value to you and your associates. Let’s make this year one to remember for you and your clients!
