Welcome to Summer 2018! There are some exciting things happening with the International DI Society that we invite you to be part of as a member:
Don Schamay and his Committee have been working hard to put together an outstanding agenda for this year’s Conference October 21-24 in St. Louis: Taking Care of Business. There will be something for everyone, including a New Agent workshop the first day of the Convention, as well as the return of JeorparDI to the lineup of speakers, sponsors, and networking opportunities that have made our Conference so valuable to our members.
We would like to remind everyone that Early Bird Registration for the Conference ends SUNDAY, JULY 15. You receive a substantial discount when you register early. Don’t forget to make your hotel reservations at the Marriot at a substantial savings as well. Details on registration and hotel discounts on our website now.
We will be holding a DI Summit in the St. Louis area shortly before the Conference to promote DI awareness, as well as excitement for our upcoming event. We will also be inviting those locally, as well your associates that you would like us to contact, to join the IDIS with the New Member package that includes both membership and registration for the Conference at a substantial discount as well. If you would like more information on how you can help, contact Rick Cordaro or Todd Shield, who have been gracious enough to help host this event.
Finally, thanks to the hard work of fellow Board Member, Brett Little, we have been talking with the UK Income Protection Task Force about ways that we can work together to help promote Disability Income Protection globally. This UK Task Force worked for over 10 years to have it referred to as Income Protection there rather than Disability Insurance. It is our hope that it doesn’t take us as long in the US to do so. They are excited to host one of our upcoming DI Study Group calls, as well as potentially be part of our upcoming Conference in October. More details on how we can work together more are upcoming in future calls with them.
It’s an exciting time to be part of the International DI Society. Exciting things that are happening with our outstanding Officers and Board that are here to serve you. I invite you to be part also. If there is anything that our Board can do to help you in your promoting Disability Insurance, if you would like to share some of your successes stories with us, or if you would like to consider being part of the Board for the upcoming year, please contact me directly at 801-304-7706.
I look forward to hearing from you as the most important part of this Society.
Greg Nelson, ChFC, CEBS, DIF
President - 2018
