    President's Report

    Dear Fellow IDIS Members:

“A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.” –Christopher Reeve

I hope that you are getting excited for our upcoming IDIS Convention that is happening October 21st through the 24th in St. Louis, Missouri.  Don Schamay and his Committee have been working overtime to put together an incredible line up of superior speakers, great break-out sessions, outstanding exhibitors, networking opportunities, and of course Jeorpar-DI, back by popular demand.

I have some exciting news that the deadline for Early-Bird Registration has been extended to August 15th.  This is a $100 savings for you by registering early.  Don’t forget to reserve your hotel space at the Marriott where IDIS has some outstanding discounts for our Convention.

For the Convention, we are asking for your nominations for the Harold Petersen Lifetime Producer Award, as well as candidates for the Cohen Scholarship.  These are two outstanding achievements that we present at each of our annual Conventions.  Details and nomination information are available on our website, as well as coming to you by email.

Finally, we are working on the 2019 Board of Directors of the IDIS.  If you or someone that you know would like to be a part of a Dynamic Board dedicated to helping you and IDIS with Disability Insurance, we would love to hear from you.

We really do want to hear from you as to how we can all make the IDIS work for you and helping in promoting this most needed protection.

    Greg Nelson, ChFC, CEBS, DIF

    President - 2018
