Dear Fellow IDIS Members:
“I choose not to place ‘DIS’, in my ability.” ? Robert M. Hensel
(Robert was born with a birth defect known as Spina bifida which has not stopped him from achieving success in his life as a leading figure within the disability community, advocating for the treatment and rights of all individuals living with disabilities across the globe)
Thanks for making the 14th Annual IDIS Convention in St. Louis, MO. such a great success! The Conference definitely lived up to its theme of “Takin’ Care of Business,” with a lot of valuable information from our presenters, sponsors, and you as members that can help us all take our most important message to a whole new level.
In speaking to many of you at the event, there was a lot of valuable content that was shared on reaching more prospects and clients, helping clients to protect their most valuable financial asset, and as importantly, caring for them after the sale. The networking opportunities were fantastic, the information shared by you as members both during and after the presentations was great, and the venue was a most fitting and worthwhile place to learn and visit.
We would like thank Don Schamay, our incoming President, his outstanding Committee and our Executive Director, Joe Pittman for putting together and presenting such a great program. It’s hard to believe that our Conferences can continue getting better each year, but that is truly the case this year. We look forward to seeing great things from Don in 2019.
The most important thing that we can all do now is to apply at least one item that we learned from the event, as well as share that information with our clients and associates. Let’s help continue to spread the word about the value of being a member of the International DI Society for another outstanding Conference in San Diego for 2019.
With only two more months to make a difference in the lives our clients, let’s all resolve to use this information to finish the year strong. We owe that to those that are significant to us, so that we keep the ‘DIS’ out of our abilities as well.
Greg Nelson, ChFC, CEBS, DIF
President - 2018
